Frankfurt a. M. / Lingen, 15th March 2011 – With the “Asio” series Emco Bad presented at the ISH 2011 in Frankfurt new bathroom accessories for the higher-standard private sphere. Because of its selection of components and material the new product is a very high-quality, distinct series. All the bathroom accessories, with their clear, rectilinear forms and high material aesthetic, reflect modern minimalism. Manufacture in traditional craft quality, says the manufacturer, meets top-standard comfort requirements and impresses by its attractive look and quality feel. At the same time the bathroom accessories, because of their purist design and functional scope, represent an optimum addition to the manufacturer’s innovative “Asis” room system. Thus the slender and elongated proportions of the wall-hanging elements of the new series go well with the slim frames of the modules of the room system. Furthermore, among the bathroom accessories there is a choice of glass and surface variants which, on the one hand, enhance the individual design scope of the series and, on the other, likewise harmonise with the materials of the room system.

The mouth-rinse glass, soap dish, brush glass and liquid-soap dispenser consist of a solid, mouth-blown glass body and simply through their intrinsic weight radiate a special quality. The brush glass excepted, all the models are available in five different variants. The range includes white, black and clear glass and two further glass variants, each with different ground patterns. The toilet brush set comes optionally with a white or a black glass holder. While high-quality lead crystal is used for the clear glass models, the white and black glasses are made from so-called Triplex glass. That means that they are made up of three layers – a clear crystal glass layer outside, a white or black glass layer in the middle and another clear crystal glass layer inside. The result is a markedly higher quality and brilliance than traditionally lacquered glass elements.

All the glass components are paired with matching holders of high-quality, galvanised die-cast zinc. With their characteristic slim lines these function at the same time as the style-forming element of the series. Double glass holders hold two mouthwash glasses or a combination of mouthwash glass and liquid soap dispenser, a circumstance which gives rise to further design possibilities for the individual combination of bathroom accessories. Moreover, paper holder, metal tray, towel holder and hook, which are likewise manufactured from galvanised die-cast zinc and have a slender, elongated architectural style, the scope spectrum of the new series.

The characterising feature of all the style elements is a slender profiled band with a concealed mounting rail integrated into it. This enables the individual bathroom accessories to be mounted quickly and easily, using a direct screw fastening. Here all the wall elements are designed so that they can be attached with the profiled band angled upwards or downwards. Two different profiled surface variants also increase the series’ design scope. There is a choice between bright chromium-plated and natural-colour-anodised aluminium. The style-forming wall element of the new bathroom accessories series is thus precisely coordinated with the frames of the modules of the manufacturer’s innovative room system. If both product lines are combined with each other, a consistent, harmonious overall effect is created.
