The Emco Bau and Geberit companies are intensifying their collaboration to promote intelligent use-of-space solutions in the bathroom.
Joint initiative for the integration of function modules in pre-wall installation systems / Multi-product appeal to the specialist wholesale and specialist sanitary trade core target groups / Official start of collaboration on coordinated fair presentations / Cube illustrates integration of both product groups in the very smallest space / Implementation in the trend towards flush-fitted bathroom fittings / Fast installation and simplified construction process
Frankfurt a. M. / Lingen, 15th March 2011 – To promote intelligent use-of-space solutions through integration of function-oriented modules for washstand, shower, bathtub and WC in pre-wall installation systems, Emco Bad and Geberit are now intensifying their collaboration. This was announced by the two companies on the occasion of the ISH 2011 in Frankfurt. The aim is the further expansion of each company’s respective market position as a result of a multi-product appeal to the core target groups specialist wholesale and specialist sanitary trade within the existing sales and marketing structures. For this, for example, the technical data of the Lingen-based company’s modular units are to be coordinated with those of the pre-wall installation system manufacturer. To mark the official start of the collaboration coordinated fair presentations were mounted at the ISH. In these the companies demonstrated inside a cube measuring 2.5 x 2.5 x 2.7 m how the optimum use of a complete bathroom can be achieved, however small the space, by the integration of both product groups. At the same time, by using the manufacturers’ respective product novelties the use concept presented is fully in keeping with the trend towards flush-fitted bathroom fittings.
An intelligent division of space with the aid of pre-wall installation systems results in improved use of the available space in every sanitary area, be it in the private or public sector. This also applies to the positioning of the fittings. An optimum solution is offered here by the modular units of the Asis series, which can be fully integrated into the pre-wall installation systems and so do not take up any additional space in the bathroom. Only the wall-flush, elegant front, which stylishly conceals the storage surfaces and bath accessories behind it, remains visible. To fit the modules, suitable frames which considerably ease the planning and the subsequent assembly and installation of the system are supplied by the Lingen-based manufacturer.
The range includes a large variety of multifunctional modular units, which can be fitted direct to the washstand, bathtub, WC or in any other place of one’s choosing. The modules come in four heights and two widths and, depending on the point of use, are fitted with plug socket, light, mirror, hair-dryer or toilet paper holder, brush set, waste bin and a generous storage space. The high-quality, optionally green, white or black glass fronts can be easily and comfortably opened by gentle finger pressure. Stylish illuminated mirror cabinets and lamps complete the functional and design scope of this innovative room system.
The Geberit GIS installation system into which the modular units are integrated under the collaboration stands out especially for its ease of installation and great constructional flexibility. From just three components – the support system, the installation elements and the system veneering – complete wall constructions can be set up with just a few hand movements. The individual profiles are fitted together without the use of special tools thanks to a plug-in fastener system, a feature which helps considerably to simplify the construction process. Furthermore, sanitary fittings, such as WC flushing cistern or, more recently, shower wastes, can be integrated into the gaps in the pre-wall installation systems. In this way the available space, particularly in small bathrooms, can be optimally used. For this the manufacturer offers particularly space-saving product innovations in the form of the Sigma60 flush-fitted actuating plate or a shower waste fitted flat on the wall.
