Essen / Lingen, 10th March 2010 – Emco Bad beat the general trend and recorded substantial growth on the home market during the 2009 crisis year. The bathroom accessories manufacturer announced this at SHK Essen 2010. During the current year continuous further development and logical expansion of the product range as well as collaboration with notable companies are aimed at ensuring stabilisation and further expansion of the market position. At present the manufacturer is collaborating with the Grohe company to market colour-coordinated product lines. These are bathroom accessories of the existing "Loft" and "Mundo" series, which optimally complement "Veris" and "Quadra" sanitary fittings. The design lines feature angular as well as round forms and are available in the colour variants moon white and velvet black. These enable combinations with almost all modern and classic bathroom fitting styles to be realised.

The Lingen-based manufacturer has also introduced a new illuminated mirror range. The series, it says, unites aesthetic appeal and functionality thanks to a modern stylish design and up-to-the-minute light technology. An outstanding feature is the cosmetic mirror integrated flush with the mirror surface and available on the market for the first time. The rectilinear forms featured throughout the series focus the eye on the essential and blend harmoniously with the bathroom architecture. Optical accents and optimum illumination of the mirror image are provided by fitted-on light elements with satinised part surfaces and positioned horizontally or vertically. The mirrors are also fitted with an additional, separately controlled underlight which enables soft, atmospheric bathroom lighting to be achieved as required. The new range comprises eight different illuminated mirror variants in six different sizes. With this wide range the manufacturer offers both the design-minded and the comfort-oriented user an attractive illuminated mirror alternative to meet individual requirements.

The company has also made new additions to the "System 2" series of bathroom accessories which are suitable for comfortable sanitary areas in public and commercial establishments. The new products include wall-mounted dispensers, waste bins and crystal mirrors. They logically round off the extensive public and commercial building fixtures and fittings forming part of the design-coordinated and very broadly positioned series. Thus the programme also offers individual and both functionally and design-coordinated complete solutions for public and commercial buildings. The diverse product range also includes an extensive range of variants for the respective requirement, from which a component alternative to meet individual requirements can always be selected. The latest additions to the series share a linear, cylindrical basic structure defining the modern, clean look of the products. At the same time a contrastingly coloured design element runs consistently throughout the entire line and underlines the unity of the individual components in a visually appealing manner. In keeping with requirements in the public and commercial buildings sector the new additions to the series are also outstanding for their high-quality materials, lasting functionality and easy handling.

The manufacturer has also brought out a new "Flat" illuminated mirror cabinet series, which, as regards both design and price level, logically rounds off its illuminated mirror cabinet range in the Asis multifunctional modular accessories system. The new product is outstanding for its especially shallow depth of only 115 mm while still offering sufficient space for all the utensils required at the wash stand. With its compact dimensions the illuminated mirror cabinet is particularly suited to small bathrooms as well as narrow spaces where the installation of an off-wall system is impractical. The new series is also impressive for its stylish design and comfortable feature components combined with an outstanding price-performance ratio. For this reason the product particularly represents an attractive alternative for the cost-conscious user who appreciates quality.

The company has also presented three new components for the "Asis" multi-functional modular system to specifically meet bathroom requirements in the higher-quality public and commercial sectors. The modules, which in keeping with the system line are outstanding for the way in which they integrate classical bathroom accessories into space-saving, stylish functional units, are fitted with high-quality aluminium fronts. The hygiene utensils concealed behind the fronts are easily accessed either through dispensing equipment or through doors which can be opened by gentle finger pressure. The functional units can be quickly and easily filled with a few hand movements, thus always ensuring the necessary cleanliness and hygiene, even during periods of frequent use. A standard key fitting all the module compartments ensures fast, uncomplicated access. The modules, which are available in an on-wall and an off-wall version, are thus particularly suited for use in hotels and restaurants, cultural and educational establishments, hospitals and retirement and care homes.

The manufacturer has also unveiled new module units for the "Vario" mirror cabinet system, which likewise forms part of the "Asis" multi-functional modular system. The flexibly assemblable system, which consists of cabinet modules of different sizes and various light elements, is thus expanded to include multi-door cabinet units which are completely prefabricated and fitted with a light. Thus, says the manufacturer, a suitable design variant both with and without lighting can be realised for almost every bathroom situation. The new modules can be used either separately or combined as required with already existing system components. As a starting basis for further design, they are, says the manufacturer, intended to make planning for an individual illuminated mirror cabinet variant considerably easier.
