Essen / Lingen, 10th March 2010 – Emco Bad at SHK Essen 2010 has presented its new "Asis Public" series of function-oriented modules for wash stand and WC in the public and commercial buildings sector. With it the manufacturer is expanding its diverse multifunctional modular system to include products which specifically meet bathroom requirements in the higher-quality public and commercial sectors. The new modules, which in keeping with the system line are outstanding for the way in which they integrate classical bathroom accessories into space-saving, stylish functional units, are fitted with high-quality aluminium fronts. The hygiene utensils concealed behind the fronts are easily accessed either through dispensing equipment or through doors which can be opened by gentle finger pressure. The functional units can be quickly and easily filled with a few hand movements, thus always ensuring the necessary cleanliness and hygiene, even during periods of frequent use. The modules, which are available in an on-wall and an off-wall version, are thus particularly suited for use in hotels, restaurants, cultural and educational establishments, hospitals and retirement and care homes.
The new products comprise three different module variants, of which two are designed for the wash stand and one for the WC area. The 314 x 1,099 x 155.6 mm wash stand module is fitted with compartments for 400 commercially available paper handkerchiefs and 200 ml of liquid soap as well as a waste bin. Alternatively, the company offers a compact cosmetic module for the wash stand area. The 314 mm wide, 324 mm high and 155.6 mm deep unit comprises a paper hand towel and a cosmetic tissue compartment. All the functional units feature lockable doors and so are accessible only to service personnel for filling and cleaning. A standard key fitting all the module compartments ensures fast, uncomplicated access.
The WC module, which measures 168 x 789 x 155.6 mm, comprises a toilet paper holder, a compartment for a spare paper roll and a set of brushes. The accessories here are concealed behind single doors which can be opened by gentle finger pressure. The toilet paper is dispensed through a slot mechanism, while the brush set remains completely concealed until needed. This ensures an aesthetically appealing, hygienic ambience in this particularly sensitive sector. Furthermore, all the modules come with small, self-adhesive and internationally comprehensible pictograms, which, as required, discreetly indicate the contents, use and opening mechanism of the various compartments.
The door stop is available optionally in a left- or right-hand design for all three module variants. Both the fronts and the bodies are made from natural-coloured anodised aluminium and meet all hygienic and antitoxic requirements. Amongst the advantages of the high-quality material are durability, robustness, ease of cleaning, sterilisability and corrosion resistance.
All the modules can also be fitted into off-wall systems and in this way form a harmonious and space-saving unit which fits virtually level with the wall and blends into the surroundings. The dimensions of these units differ slightly from those of the similarly designed on-wall version. For in-wall fitting the Lingen-based manufacturer also supplies a mounting frame suitable for all commonly available off-wall installation systems, thus considerably simplifying planning and installation of the modules.
