Emco Bad at SHK Essen 2010: Shallower illuminated mirror cabinet series for bathroom comfort in narrow spaces

With its new, shallower "Flat" illuminated mirror cabinet system Emco Bad offers a high-quality yet favourably priced alternative for bathrooms with very little space.
Particularly shallow depth of 115 mm / Four different models / Ideal for narrow space conditions / Outstanding price-performance ratio / Horizontal light component running across the entire width / Comprehensive comfort fittings / Consistent completion of the entire illuminated mirror cabinet range
Essen / Lingen, 10th March 2010 – Emco Bad at SHK Essen 2010 has introduced a new "Flat" illuminated mirror cabinet series, which, as regards both design and price level, logically rounds off the manufacturer’s illuminated mirror cabinet range in the Asis multifunctional modular accessories system. The new product is outstanding for its especially shallow depth of only 115 mm while still offering sufficient space for all the utensils required at the wash stand. With its compact dimensions the illuminated mirror cabinet is particularly suited to small bathrooms as well as narrow spaces where the installation of an off-wall system is impractical. The new series is also impressive for its stylish design and comfortable feature components combined with an outstanding price-performance ratio. For this reason the product particularly represents an attractive alternative for the cost-conscious user who appreciates quality.
The new illuminated mirror cabinet series comprises four different models. The range includes here a 600-mm-wide single-door model, two 2-door variants – optionally 600 or 900 mm wide – and a 3-door cabinet module with a width of 1,200 mm. All the models are fitted with a light component located above the cabinet, running horizontally and projecting forward approx. 50 mm. All variants are uniformly 645 mm high. They are illuminated by energy-efficient T5 light elements with an output of 14, 21 or 28 watts, depending on module width. A satinised acrylic housing ensures dazzle-free light distribution. A switch on the inside of the cabinet module also enables the light unit to be controlled separately and independently of the room light.
All the models in the new series are fitted with an integrated plug socket, thus offering a useful power source right at the wash stand. Further fitting components include two – in the 3-door model four – crystal glass shelves which can be inserted at six different heights. The double-mirrored crystal glass doors can be optionally stopped to the left or the right, depending on the space available, with a few hand movements. A three-dimensional adjustment arrangement for the door elements quickly and conveniently ensures their optimum positioning. Rounding off the diverse range of features for the new models is a soft-close function, by means of which silicon dampers incorporated in the hinges ensure careful closing of the doors.
According to the manufacturer this, the fourth illuminated mirror cabinet series, logically and consistently rounds off its product portfolio in this segment. For the higher-quality private sector the company offers two different model series. The exclusive "Premium" series is outstanding for its innovative, side-integrated light design and extremely diverse comfort fittings, while the "Vario" modular mirror cabinet system with its different modules and light elements ensures maximum design freedom both with and without lighting. The "Pure" series combines exclusive feature components, such as an integrated light concept and varied comfort accessories, and a very good price-performance ratio. The new illuminated mirror cabinet series, which fits in visually with the manufacturer's modular system, now also meets the requirements of cost-conscious users who want a high-quality cabinet system, particularly for small bathrooms.
