»Lion King« is cool On New York´s Broadway the »Lion King« has been a hit for several years now. And since December 2002 the breath-taking show has been playing to a full house every night at the Theater am Hamburger Hafen. The musical is set amid the glory of the Serengeti and its African rhythms tell the story of Simba and his quest to take up his predetermined role as King. Following a rebuild lasting almost a year especially to accommodate the show, the auditorium now seats 1850 people. As a result, the air is filled not just with musical energy, but with the heat, breath and emotional effluvia of almost two thousand human beings. For the engineers at emco Klima it was a real challenge to keep things comfortable on and off stage and in the auditorium, as well as in the foyer and restaurant of this unusual theatre. A total of 130,300 cubic metres of air per hour are recirculated and refreshed in order to keep the jungle climate at bay.
