The partition wall gains in importance as functional element in view of increasing needs of building efficiency and sustainability. Against the background of these reasons Strähle developed together with G+S design GmbH from Cologne the multi-functional partition wall and storage system MTS, that was presented for the first time at the BAU 2009.
The newly designed MTS System integrates lighting and air conditioning equipment into the space-defining walls as extra functions. It consists of two components: an all-glass partition wall with a post-and-beam structural design of slender aluminium sections and a storage element. The storage element is integrated at the centre of the partition wall between the offices. The rear front of the storage element can also be fitted with highly effective absorber elements to improve the acoustics in the room.
MTS facilitates integral planning concepts, with a view to conserving energy and resources via an intelligent combination of building structure and engineering. Please take a look at the gallery.
